It started with Alice in Wonderland. Yes, the famous kids story that was designed to brings smiles and laughter and evoke feelings of joy and inspire imagination in children.
The tale was always one of Astor’s favorites, digging it’s roots into her early childhood. As a little girl, the redhead often dreamed of whimsical things; falling down the rabbit hole, running off with the white rabbit and dining with the Red Queen. Dreams like these became a staple in her childhood, a pleasant constant.
But as she got older, things at home became more complicated, more…dark, harsh. These problems bleed into her school and social life too, eventually intertwining with her dream state.
Astor, who once had vivid, beautiful dreams that were full of laughter and color, soon came to despise the night. Terrible nightmares, filled with screams and blood and pain, plagued her nights. They were horribly vivid and surreal in the most beautiful and painful way.
As she grew older, her dreams grew more twisted. The more hectic and chaotic her life was, was reflected in her dreams. The famous kids story that was designed to bring imagination and creativity to the lives of children was the architect of Astor’s descent into madness.
At the age of 21, tired of fearing sleep, tired of being a victim to her dreams, Astor Reinette attempted suicide by sleeping pills. Ironic, huh? The end result was her waking up under the fluorescent lighting at the Belle Bridge Preserve.
But Astor didn’t view this as a curse. No, the opposite, actually. After all, at the Belle Bridge Preserve, fears aren’t allowed.

Growing up you could say that Ethan was the center of attention. From school plays, to soccer teams, to the debate club, he was part of it all. “If it wasn’t for me, these things could never exist,” he’s been caught saying once or twice. He swore by these words and was sure he was the center of the Universe.
Truly in his heart, Ethan believed that everything revolved around him. If a friend won an award at school, it was because he had given them some perfect advice. He was always extremely well groomed, and never failed to point this out to anyone. Everything was about Ethan, Ethan, Ethan. That is, until his mother became pregnant.
The seemingly unemotional boy went ballistic. He threatened his mother and father with physical violence. He couldn’t handle the fact that there would be a distraction from himself.
His parents had speculated that there was something emotionally wrong with their son, and this incident had confirmed it. They did the research, found Belle Bridge, and made their decision to admit him only days later.

Not much is known about Klaudia’s early years. She’s only recently opened up to the doctor’s at Belle Bridge after admitting herself seven months ago. No one yet knows the root of the girl’s attraction to the bodily fluid. It is suspected that it stems from a traumatic accident she was involved in during her early teenaged years. There are deep scars and large burn marks over most of her torso and arms indicating this.

Olive Bleu | 19 | Suffers From: Impulse Control Disorder (Kleptomania) | FC: Emilie Autumn | OPEN
During her early teenaged years, Olive spent time hanging out with the wrong crowd, though, by looking at her, you’d never realize it. She received average grades in school, was always polite, and worked as a volunteer at a local nursing home.
At age 15 she became known as a mall-rat and was, one evening, persuaded by a troupe of girls to stuff a t-shirt into her messenger bag. The security alarm went off, and the girls scattered, evading arrest. Olive soon became obsessed with the rush of adrenaline she had gotten from shoplifting. She didn’t need the things she stole, or even cared about them, and she didn’t stop at malls. She would steal from supermarkets, from friends, her parents, and even from the residents of the nursing home she worked in.
Like Klaus Delgado, she was caught and faced with two choices: serve jail time, or seek treatment at Belle Bridge.

Ivy Rhoade | 30 | Suffers from: Trichotillomania | FC: Halle Berry | OPEN
Growing up, Ivy had a full head of natural, luscious hair. Throughout high school she had high grades, which earned her the spot of valedictorian in her graduation class, and a full scholarship to Yale.
Unable to cope with long study hours, maintaining a part time job, and being allowed to achieve no lower than a 90% in all of her classes, she began pulling her hair out. First, it started as a bad habit, but then she started forming bald spots.
Ivy graduated with honors, but still stressed about operating her own law firm. She never really admitted to having a problem, until a group of friends staged an intervention of sorts.
She was recently admitted for psychiatric treatment.
